about

I love this carol and don’t limit it to Christmas time. Like many praise leaders, I have been known to spontaneously use the refrain, “O come ...” etc., at the end of a worship service. It is so familiar there is no need for digital projection or song sheets. People are free to worship God without hindrance, and they do, every time! It’s wonderful!

lyrics

O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord.

O Sing, choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
Sing all ye citizens
Of Heaven above
Glory to God
Glory in the Highest

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord.

Yea Lord we greet thee,
born this happy morning;
Jesus to thee
Be glory given!
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

For He alone is worthy ...
We give Him all the glory ...
O come, let us adore Him ...
Christ the Lord.

The English translation of "O Come, All Ye Faithful" by the English Catholic priest Frederick Oakeley, written in 1841, is widespread in most English speaking countries.
